We have attached two documents to this e-mail. The first is the WL Board Application. All candidates that are interested in running for a position must fill out this form and e-mail it to the President, Christian Grados (grados@sas.upenn.edu). The deadline to apply for a position will be TOMORROW at 11:59pm! We have also attached a document with bullet points summarizing what each position entails. As a reminder, the Wharton Latino elections will be held on Wednesday, December 1st (room and time TBA). All candidates have to give a 3-minute speech during the meeting, and presidential candidates need a 5-minute speech.

The event is targeted to sophomores and juniors, but interested freshmen may also attend since they offer a summer program for them.

Freshmen and Sophomores Career Opportunities
We have organized a Freshmen and Sophomores Career Opportunities Event with BWUA for next Thursday, November 11th in JMHH F92 at 6:00pm. There will be a small panel of students who have participated in the programs listed below. They will talk about their experiences and you will have the opportunity to ask specific, one-on-one questions about the application process, improving your resume, and writing cover letters.
Some of the programs include:

– BCG Diversity Bridge to Consulting
– Capital One Summit for Leadership
– Credit Suisse B.A. Explorer
– Goldman Sachs Undergraduate Camp/Scholarship for Excellence

Wharton Latino First GBM and Resume Workshop

When: September 13 7-8 pm, 8:45-9:30 pm

This upcoming Monday, September 13, we are holding our first general body meeting of the semester. We will be introducing the freshmen and outlining the schedule for the semester. Emphasis will be placed in informing members of our upcoming Career Conference. As usual, pizza and drinks will be served.
After the meeting is over, our Corporate Liaisons will be giving a resume workshop with the basic tools needed to get your resume ready for the upcoming full-time and internship seasons.

We are hosting our most important event of the year, the Annual Career Conference, this upcoming Friday, September 17 from 11am to 4pm. The event will take place in the Baker Forum of the John M. Huntsman Hall from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
Over the past years, the conference has grown to be one of the most important professional events at the University of Pennsylvania. This year we are delighted to host 20 companies and organizations in traditional areas such as asset management, banking, and consulting, with the added participation of non-profit organizations and even graduate schools. Students interested in either FULL-TIME opportunities or INTERNSHIP positions will find the conference extremely resourceful.
